Wireless Emergency Pull devices are battery powered and will require battery changes from time to time. Vigil has tested and qualified two brands of 1/2 AA batteries for best performance and recommends them for use in Vigil brand devices.
If the Wireless Emergency Pull is currently mounted to a wall you will need to remove it first.
To do so:
Remove the center top screw and center bottom screw.- Gently pull the Wireless Emergency Pull station out of the wall or mounting box.
To change the battery:
- Turn the Wireless Emergency Pull over so that you are looking at the reverse side.
- Remove the dead battery.
- Insert a fresh battery respecting the polarity (+ and – symbols.)
- Test the device and verify it is working with the fresh battery.
