Pagers have a number of different Alert Types. These are tones, chimes, and vibrations that the pager can be set to use to notify you when a page is received.
There are several different types of alerts, each of which is described below.
- Alert – This is an alert tone or beep. There are a number of different sounds/patterns to choose from.
- Musical – This alert type will play a short musical tune. There are several to choose from.
- Silent – This turns the vibration feature on and off. You can choose from vibration only or vibration and tone.
- Sleep – This turns off alerts entirely. Choose this if you do not want any alert sounds or vibrations.
- From the Time/Date window, push the Function button.
- Press either Select button to scroll through the options until you see ‘Set Alert’
- Press the Function button to enable ‘Set Alert’
- Press the function button to move the cursor to the desired alert mode.
- Press either Select button to move the cursor to the desired setting.
- Press the Read button to set the alert.
