When a pendant is damaged or lost, you will need to replace it with a new one. This must be done physically as well as in the software. The following instructions guide you through replacing a pendant in the software. Please see Adding a Pendant in the Vigil Software if you don’t need to replace one.
Steps to replace a pendant in the Vigil software:
- Search for the old pendant ID by using one of the search fields. The searched device will be brought to the top of the screen highlighted with a check on the left hand side.
Click Replace at the bottom of the screen.- Put a battery in the new device and take it to a computer with Vigil Remote installed. *This step is important in order to complete the replacement wizard in the software. *
- Click Continue.
Test the new pendant by pressing the call area. Confirm the information is correct on the complete set up screen. Click Next.
Confirm there are no corridor lights associated with the pendant (pendants don’t get assigned to corridor lights) and click Next.
- Cancel the call on the pendant and click Finish on the screen to complete the process.
