How to Manage Low Battery Notifications

Low Battery notifications need to be addressed within 24-48 hours. You will be notified of low batteries by a Low Battery alert on the Maintenance Calls tab of Vigil Remote. If you are unsure of which batteries to use, please see Vigil approved batteries.

Regardless of how many low batteries there are, you will only see one notification on the Maintenance Calls screen that directs you to look at the Low Battery Report.

  • Log into Vigil Remote
  • Click on Active Calls button located at the top of the screen

  • Click on the Maintenance Calls tab.
  • Click on Low Battery Report in the orange bar (or by going to Reports, Maintenance Tab, Low Battery Report).
    • This report will list all the wireless devices with low batteries from lowest battery level to highest. Change the battery of the ones listed at the top first.
  • Locate the device with the low battery alert from the list in the report.
  • Replace the battery.
  • Create a test call to ensure device is working properly. Once all the low batteries have been taken care of the Low Battery alert will automatically be removed from the Maintenance Calls tab.
