Wireless Nurse Call devices are battery powered and will require battery changes from time to time. Vigil has tested and qualified two brands of 1/2 AA batteries for best performance and recommends them for use in Vigil brand devices.
If the Wireless Nurse Call is currently mounted to a wall you will need to remove it first. To do so:
Pop off the plastic bezel around the edge of the face plate to reveal the mounting screws.- Remove the center top screw and center bottom screw.
- Gently pull the Wireless Nurse Call station out of the wall or mounting box.
To change the battery:
- Turn the Wireless Nurse Call over so that you are looking at the reverse side.
- Remove the dead battery.
- Insert a fresh battery respecting the polarity (+ and – symbols.)
- Test the device and verify it is working with the fresh battery.
