Adding Usernames in the Vigil Remote Software

Typically, there are one or two people at a community responsible for adding or removing usernames and passwords for the Vigil software. Use the following instructions if you are one of these people:

  • Log in to Vigil Remote.
  • From the Main Menu, chose System Administration.
  • Click on User Administration.

 

 

 

 

 

 

When adding a user to the software, make sure you know what level of access you’d like them to have. Typically:

  • Monitor is a CNA or a Nurse
  • Supervisor is the ADON or Unit Manager
  • Administrator is the DON or Administrator

 

  • Type the username you would like under Username (for example, for Susan Smith you might use ssmith). There is a 20-character limit.
  • Type the password for this user. There are no special requirements for the password and Vigil Remote will not request a change of password at any interval of time. There is a 6-character minimum which you can use letters or numbers but no special characters (i.e. no @, # etc.).
  • Enter your password again to confirm.
  • Select the Access Level for this user. Your options are Monitor (lowest access), Supervisor and Administrator (highest level of access).
  • Click Add. You will see the new user added to the list. Repeat the above steps to add more users.
  • Once you’re done click Save
