Replacing a Wireless Nurse Call/Assist in Vigil Remote

When a station is damaged or not working, you will need to replace the station with a new one. This must be done on the wall as well as in the software. Please see Adding a Wireless Nurse Call/Assist in Vigil Remote if you don’t need to replace one.

Steps to replace a wireless nurse call/assist station:

  • Log in to Vigil Remote and go to the Wireless Devices screen.
  • Select Wireless Devices on the Main Menu.

 

 

 

  • Search for the old wireless station ID by using one of the search fields. The searched device will be brought to the top of the screen highlighted with a check on the left hand side.

  • Click Replace at the bottom of the screen.
  • Put a battery in the new wireless station and take it to a computer with Vigil Remote installed. *This step is important in order to complete the replacement wizard in the software. *
  • Click Continue.

 

 

 

 

  • Type in the new wireless station transmitter ID and click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Carefully confirm the replacement information, then click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Test the new wireless station by triggering a call. Confirm the information is correct on the complete set up screen.
  • Click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Confirm the paging information is correct and click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Confirm the correct corridor lights are associated with the wireless station and click Next.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Cancel the call on the wireless station and Click Finish on the screen to complete the process.
