In Bathroom (Memory Care System)

In Bathroom

The In Bathroom Rule is used to monitor how long a resident stays in the bathroom. It can also be used to alert immediately when a resident enters the bathroom.

When the resident goes into the bathroom, the sensors on the ceiling and then in the bathroom doorway, are activated. The bathroom is a common place for accidents, and even residents who are generally able go to the bathroom unaided could still be at risk of falling if the floor was wet or slippery.

The In Bathroom call raises when someone enters the bathroom, triggering the infared sensor in the doorway. Vigil is typically configured to start a timer when the bathroom is entered. If a certain amount of time passes without someone exiting the bathroom the Vigil System then raises an In Bathroom call. This rule can be set any where from immediate to 59 minutes.

Canceling an In Bathroom call

To clear an In Bathroom use the Staff Cancel Switch on the outside of the room. Turn the switch OFF for a minimum of 5 seconds, then turn it back on again. This will cancel the call.
