Incontinence Bed Call (Memory Care System)

Incontinence calls are generated by the Vigil Memory Care System when moisture is detected by a connected incontinence sensor pad. This requires an Incontinence Sensor positioned on the resident’s bed underneath a draw sheet. Plug the sensor cable into the adapter cord, then plug the adapter cord into either socket on the Bed Sensor Outlet on the wall.

How to raise an Incontinence call?

A small amount of moisture on the incontinence sensor pad will cause an Incontinence call to raise. If you need to test the sensor a damp cloth placed on the pad should be enough to raise the alert.

How to clear an Incontinence call?

To clear an Incontinence call, turn the Staff Cancel Switch on the outside of the room off. Unplug the incontinence sensor from the wall and wash with soap and water being careful not to submerge the cords. Thoroughly dry the sensor and plug it back into the wall. Turn the Staff Cancel Switch back on.
