Turning Push Notifications On/Off in Vigil Mobile

Push notifications are messages sent from Vigil Mobile to your device’s screen even when you do not have Vigil Mobile open. These are useful if you want to be notified of Vigil alerts when you are not looking at the screen.

You can turn push notifications on or off from the Vigil Mobile Settings Menu. Push notifications are turned on by default.

 

To edit Push Notifications:

  • Touch Settings
  • Touch Notification Settings
  • Turn All Push Notifications ON by swiping the indicator to the right (it will turn blue). If the indicator is swiped left and white, the option is OFF. This should be ON for all users. Note: push notifications will need to be on in the settings of your devices for the Vigil Mobile app as well for this to work.
  • *Optional* turn Reminder Notifications on and set the amount of time this user should receive the reminders. The default is 5 minutes.
  • Only Receive Escalation Notifications – this feature is used for users that should not get the initial notification of a call. If you enable this feature, please contact Vigil support at 877-850-1122 as we need to adjust some settings for your community.

 

Notification sound: Choose between 8 different sounds. You can also have it vibrate if you have push notification settings set to vibrate.
